About Me
I am a licensed mental health therapist with a passion for helping teens and young adults turn life's challenges into their greatest victories.
With over 10 years of collective experience working in high school youth ministry, Child Welfare Services, school mental health, and private practice, I have developed a deep understanding of the unique struggles and pressures facing today's young people.
While some dismiss the struggles of youth as inconsequential, your challenges are real and also an incredible opportunity to understand who you really are. Whether you are struggling with school, family, personal relationships, or feeling overwhelmed by the pressures of adulthood, I am here to help. Training & Experience
I’m licensed in the state of California as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (#108109). I earned a Master’s degree in Social Work from California State University Fullerton in 2018 and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from California State University San Marcos in 2015. I am also a Certified Level I Restoration Therapist and Basic Trained EMDR Therapist.
During my college and graduate school years I worked as both paid and volunteer staff in high school youth ministry at my churches. This experience sparked my passion for working with young people. After graduate school, I spent time working in government agencies and in school mental health helping families and young people manage crises, create plans for safety, and overcome insurmountable challenges.
Now, as a therapist, I use my training in evidenced based treatments including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (ICBT) and Restoration Therapy to help my clients better understand who they are in light of their unique story are and empower them to create lasting change in their lives.
