Self Pay Rates
$150 per 50-minutes session. My current sliding scale slots are booked at this time.
Accepted Payments: I accept payment via cash, check, debit or credit card, HSA or FSA card, and Zelle. Payments are collected at the end of the session. Credit, debit, HSA or FSA card payments that are set for autopay are processed the evening following your appointment.
Insurance
At this time, I am only able to accept insurance for clients ages 18+. My insurance slots are limited so please feel free to contact me regarding current availability.
For clients ages 18+: I work with a mental health company called Octave to accept the following insurance plans:
Atena
Anthem Blue Cross of California
Blue Shield of California*
Cigna/Evernorth
*Please note that I am in-network with only a small number of Blue Shield of California plans. If this is your insurance provider, please let me know and I can work with you to verify whether sessions would be covered through your plan.
For clients under age 18: Session fee of $150 per 50-minute session is applied.
Insurance Verification
Using Insurance Benefits Through Octave: I work with a mental health company called Octave to handle all insurance claims and billing. If you'd like to use your insurance for sessions, please let me know and I will have an Octave Care Navigator reach out to you to set up a client profile, verify your insurance details, collect payment information, and complete consent documents.
Insurance Verification Policy: To ensure that your therapy sessions run smoothly and to avoid disruptions to your care, all clients planning to use insurance for their appointments must complete the insurance verification process, along with submitting all consent documents and payment information through Octave, at least 2 business days prior to their scheduled appointment.
If the verification process is not completed by this time:
The appointment will need to be rescheduled to a later date.
We will assist you in completing the verification process and finding a new time for your session as soon as possible.
Please note that this policy helps ensure we have all necessary approvals and information in place before beginning services. Out of Network Information
For clients under age 18 or those who do not wish to use their insurance, I can provide you with a superbill to submit to your medical insurance company for reimbursement if you qualify for out-of-network benefits. Please check with your insurance company to verify your benefits coverage. The following questions can guide you in your conversation with your insurance company:
Does my plan cover outpatient psychotherapy?
Can I use an out of network provider?
What is the percentage rate for reimbursement with an out of network provider?
Is there a limit to the number of sessions?
How do I submit for reimbursement?
